The Global Compact Network Canada is looking for SDG practices from companies to be included in an SDGs Emerging Practice publication and to participate in SDG Peer Reviewing Groups! Will you join us?
In partnership with Global Affairs Canada, the SDGs Emerging Practice Guide aims to include good practice examples for each of the 17 SDGs from Canadian businesses across all sectors.
The initiative will be combined with the SDG Leadership Awards 2019. The top peer-reviewed entries for each of the 17 SDGs will be eligible to receive the annual 2019 SDG Leadership Award.
Why submit your practice?
Be recognized as one of the leaders who is driving action towards the SDGs in Canada and abroad.
Showcase your organization’s commitment to sustainability and the UN Agenda 2030.
Learn and receive qualitative feedback on your existing practices and efforts.
Help foster sustainability efforts and initiatives around the 17 SDGs in Canada in abroad.
Benchmark your organization’s sustainability programs to industry peers.
After submitting your practices, you will be placed in a peer reviewing group. The maximum number of entries in a peer reviewing group is 4.
Applicants of the same group will assess the entries (each around 500 words) based on a judging criteria form. Entries with the highest average score will be selected for the SDGs Emerging Practice Guide and, if your company chooses to participate in the Awards, recognized as the 2019 SDG Leadership Award winners. Please see below for the Awards:
2019 SDG Leadership Award First Place Winner
2019 SDG Leadership Award Second Place Winner
2019 SDG Leadership Award Third Place Winner
The entry with the highest average score for each SDG will also be recognized. If your entry is the only application for an SDG, you will be automatically recognized.

The guide will be published in late March 2019 and will include 2-4 emerging practice examples for each of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
