Put your organization forward and be at the forefront of
Canada’s SDG movement!
The SDG Leadership Awards is Canada’s premier Awards event for recognizing organizations and businesses who are doing exceptional work to integrate and advance action towards the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
At the SDG Leadership Awards 2019, the Global Compact Network Canada will collect entries from businesses across sectors and highlight some of the amazing progress that both the private and public sectors have made towards solving the most pressing environmental, social and economic challenges of our time.
Showcase Leadership and Inspire Your Peers
Be recognized as one of the leaders who is driving action towards the SDGs in Canada.
The 17 SDGs are the world’s plan for achieving a better future for all – laying out a path until 2030 to end extreme poverty, fight inequality and injustice, and protect our planet. Through your participation in the Awards, we hope that you can lead and inspire more Canadian companies to embed the SDGs into their commercial practices.
Learn from Peer Reviewing Groups
Winners will be awarded and recognized through a peer reviewing process. Your application will be grouped with 3-4 other applicants in your industry. Feedback will be given to you as well as an average score out of 10.
The peer reviewing groups is a great way to benchmark your organization’s sustainability programs to industry peers and receive substantive and qualitative feedback on your current practices to advance the SDGs.

Join us for the Awards this year to inspire, celebrate and promote SDG leadership!
After submitting your entry, we will create a designated profile for your SDG Leadership Awards 2019 nomination. We will contact you in January 2019 with information on the members in your peer reviewing group. Your entry will be placed in the primary SDG group that you have selected or industry – you have the option to select which you prefer in the submission form. The maximum number of entries in a peer reviewing group is 4 and preference is given based on a first come, first serve basis.
Applicants of the same SDG group will assess the entries based on a judging criteria form. Entries with the highest average score will be recognized as the 2019 SDG Leadership Award winner. Please see below for the Awards:
- 2019 SDG Leadership Award First Place Winner
- 2019 SDG Leadership Award Second Place Winner
- 2019 SDG Leadership Award Third Place Winner
The entry with the highest average score for each SDG will also be recognized. If your entry is the only application for an SDG, you will be automatically recognized.
